About the company

Who operates Localsville, where it is based, and how it intends to make money.

How does Localsville make money?

Right now, it does not — and that is deliberate rather than a secret. In-app payments are switched off, Local Partner registration is free during launch, and Localsville sells no advertising.

The intended model is a service fee on money that moves through the app, taken from the provider's payout rather than added to the buyer's price, plus Local Partner membership at its standard price once the launch waiver ends.

Localsville does not intend to sell advertising or paid placement. That is a product decision, not a pricing one.

Does Localsville offer cashback or rewards?

No. Localsville has no cashback, rewards, points, credits or loyalty program of any kind. None of it exists in the product.

If you have read otherwise — in an old app-store description or anywhere else — that material is out of date and does not describe Localsville. This page is the current answer.

There is no plan being announced here either. If that ever changes, it will be described on this page first.

Is Localsville an investment or an income opportunity?

No. Localsville is an app, not an investment, a franchise or an income opportunity.

The Local Partner program is a membership that may earn commission on real activity. It is not employment, it carries no territory, and Localsville promises no earnings from it.

Anyone presenting Localsville as a way to make guaranteed money is not describing what Localsville is.

What is Oahuville, and how does it relate to Localsville?

Localsville is the company and the product. Oahuville is only a local addressing layer used to reach people on Oʻahu — a way in, not a separate service.

The app, the account, the profiles and the terms are all Localsville's. For anything about how the product works, what it costs, or company policy, Localsville is the answer and this Help Center is the place.
