Being on Localsville is free. A service fee applies only when a payment is processed through Localsville. There is no charge to download the app, create an account, create your Person profile, add photos, list what you offer, or message your neighbors, and no subscription, listing fee or charge for visibility.
When a payment goes through Localsville, the fee comes out of the provider's payout rather than being added to what the buyer pays: 12% of the first $500 of a transaction, 10% of the portion from $500 to $2,000, and 8% of the portion above $2,000. On a $100 job that is $12.00, and the provider earns $88.00.
Running a Place profile is free. The same service fee applies only to payments processed through Localsville. Creating a Place profile, adding photos and opening information, and talking to neighbors cost nothing.
There is no listing fee, no subscription, no paid tier and nothing to buy for better placement.

Yes. Paying through Localsville is switched on. A provider sends a quote, you accept it, and you pay through Stripe inside the app.
You are never required to pay through Localsville in order to talk to someone. Messaging, discovery and your profile are free.
A service fee applies only to a payment completed through Localsville, and it comes out of the provider's payout rather than being added to what the buyer pays.
No. Localsville does not currently sell paid placement, profile boosts, or sponsored ranking. There is nothing to buy, and money does not move you up.
New profiles do get a little help finding their footing: for the first 60 days after a profile goes live it carries a small ranking allowance so a brand-new neighbor is not invisible. It is automatic, it is free, and it is the same for everyone.
Card processing is not billed to you. It is absorbed by Localsville out of its own share of the service fee, never added to the buyer's total, never deducted from the provider as a separate line.
The provider, out of what they earn. A buyer pays the quoted amount plus any delivery fee and nothing else is added on top; Localsville's service fee is deducted from the provider's payout.

No. Local Partner enrollment is free during the current launch period, and there is no enrollment fee today. The server refuses to start any charge while the launch waiver is in place, so nobody can be billed for a membership.

A free registration creates a full membership: active, one state, a twelve-month term, and your own invite code.
Localsville adds no charge of its own for paying you out. On automatic payouts of $300 or more it also covers the payout costs; smaller weekly payouts, and any payout you request yourself whatever its size, carry Stripe's payout costs: passed through at cost, with no Localsville markup.
Money goes to your own bank account through Stripe. Payout costs are shown before a payout you request is confirmed. A balance too small to send after those costs stays yours and carries forward: nothing is forfeited.
