The Local Partner program, invite codes, commissions and City Partner.
A Local Partner is a neighbor who helps Localsville take root in their state by personally introducing the neighbors they know. It is a membership, not a job: there is no employment, no territory and no franchise.
A membership covers one U.S. state, lasts twelve months, and comes with one shareable invite code.

LP is short for Local Partner. You will also see CP, which is City Partner: a status a Local Partner can reach.
CMN is the third abbreviation you will meet: it is the Community Member Number, a Partner's invite code.
Local Partner enrollment is free during the current launch period. There is no enrollment fee today.
The server refuses to start any charge while the launch waiver is in place, so nobody can be billed for a membership, not even from an older copy of the app.
Future Local Partner pricing, if any, will be announced before any charge applies. Nothing is being decided here, and no price is in effect.
Yes, enrollment is open, and it is free during the current launch period. Both are operator settings and both are currently set that way.
You join from inside the Localsville app. If enrollment is ever closed, the controls disappear from the app rather than failing when you press them.

You choose the state, accept the Local Partner Terms, and the membership activates. While the launch waiver is on, no payment is involved.
Your invite code is created at that moment and cannot be changed afterwards.
A CMN is a Local Partner's invite code: Community Member Number. It looks like LV-HI-K7P2QW: the state, then six characters.
The characters deliberately leave out 0, 1, I and O so it can be read aloud without confusion.
It is created automatically when a membership activates and can never be changed. Each state you hold has its own separate code.
They enter your CMN on their own profile, or open your invite link. Your link is localsville.com/join?cmn=YOUR-CODE.
Before it is saved, the app shows them whose code it is ("Invited by [name]") so nobody is attributed to a stranger by accident.
You cannot use your own code on your own profile.
No. A profile carries one invitation, once, permanently. The record cannot be edited or replaced through the app by anyone.
The Local Partner Terms allow a correction where Localsville made the error. If you think that is what happened, contact support.
You get one notification, and only once the profile they created has actually gone live. Entering your code on its own does not notify you and does not count.
That is deliberate: a code typed into a draft that never becomes a real profile is not a neighbor you introduced to the community.
Your Partner hub shows the profiles attributed to you.
Nothing is earned when someone joins. A Partner is only credited when a profile they introduced completes real paid activity: a finished appointment or a completed exchange that settles.
Membership registrations never generate commission, no matter how many join with your code.
1.00% of eligible activity from a profile you invited directly. Above that, City Partners can receive overrides of 0.30%, 0.20% and 0.10% at one, two and three levels up.
These come out of Localsville's own share. They are never added to what a buyer pays and never taken from what a provider earns.
Commission is scoped to the state your membership covers. Localsville makes no claim or promise about what any Partner will earn, and the rates are published in the Local Partner Terms.
Nothing happens. No notification, no credit, no commission. The invitation is recorded on their profile, but until that profile goes live it counts for nothing.
If they do finish and go live later, the attribution is still there and it counts then.
No. A Local Partner does not own or reserve anything. There is no exclusivity: any number of Partners can hold an active membership in the same state at the same time.
A membership determines which state your activity is counted in, not a patch of ground you control.
Yes, as many as sign up. Localsville does not cap the number of Partners in a state and does not allocate anyone a protected area.
What is attributed to you is the profiles that used your code, not everyone in your state.
Any of the fifty U.S. states, plus the District of Columbia.
U.S. territories such as Puerto Rico, Guam and the U.S. Virgin Islands cannot be registered today.
You can hold memberships in more than one state; each is separate, with its own term and its own code.
Yes. Each state is a separate membership with its own twelve-month term and its own invite code.
Make sure you share the code for the right state: activity is counted against the state the profile is in.
No. A membership is a one-year term and does not renew itself. There is no recurring subscription and nothing is charged automatically.
You are reminded when a membership is within 14 days of expiring, and renewing extends the term rather than starting a new one.
An expired membership stops qualifying for anything until it is renewed.
Anyone else can enter it on their own profile: the attribution is recorded on that profile.
A single profile can only ever record one invitation.
City Partner is a status a Local Partner can reach: it is not something you can buy or sign up for. There is no City Partner enrollment, no price and no application anywhere in Localsville.
It is reached when ten profiles a Partner invited directly each reach $10,000 of activity in the same calendar month, in that Partner's state.
Once reached it is permanent. It unlocks the override rates of 0.30%, 0.20% and 0.10% described in the Local Partner Terms.
Partner commissions are paid on a monthly run, on the 1st. Each commission is held first on the same schedule as the provider's own earning from that job.
A payout requires a connected Stripe account. Localsville covers the payout costs when a monthly payout is $300 or more. Smaller monthly payouts, and any payout you request yourself whatever its size, carry Stripe's payout costs, passed through at cost with no Localsville markup; they are shown before a payout you request is confirmed. A balance too small to send after those costs stays yours and carries forward: nothing is forfeited.
If a job is refunded, the commission on it is reversed proportionally.
Nothing has been paid yet, because no qualifying activity has occurred.
No. Partner status has no effect on Discover whatsoever: it is one of the inputs the ranking code explicitly refuses to consider.
A Partner's profile is ordered exactly like anyone else's.
No. A CMN is generated once and never changes, and there are no custom or vanity codes.
It stays yours, so it is safe to print or say out loud. What it does depends on your membership: if a membership lapses, the code stays yours but stops attributing new profiles until it is active again.
Localsville does not promise you will earn anything, and cannot. Whether a Partner earns depends entirely on whether people they introduce go on to complete real paid activity, which is outside anyone's control.
No qualifying activity has occurred yet, so no commission has been generated for anyone.
This is not an income opportunity, an investment, or employment. Treat any claim that it is (from anyone) as something Localsville has not said.
You do not choose it. It is derived from whose code your own profile used, in the same state, set once at your first activation there and never changed afterwards.
If your own profiles point at two different Partners, no upline is recorded.
Only City Partners can see a team view, and it goes three levels deep. An ordinary Local Partner sees the profiles they invited directly, which is what their own commission depends on.
It stops qualifying for anything: your code no longer attributes new profiles and no new commission is generated. You are reminded 14 days before it happens.
Renewing extends the term rather than starting again, and attributions already recorded stay recorded.
There is nothing to refund, because enrollment is free during the current launch period. No membership fee is being charged.
If paid membership is introduced in future, the terms that apply to it will be published before any charge applies.
It is reduced in proportion to what was refunded: if half the job is refunded, half the commission is reversed.
If you had already been paid, the difference becomes a negative balance taken out of a later payout rather than being clawed back from your bank.

So being introduced by a Local Partner costs the person introduced nothing, and changes nothing about what they pay or receive.
