Reporting a copyright problem

If you believe content on Localsville infringes your copyright, send a notice to our designated agent at legal@localsville.com (or by mail to the address above) including:

1. Identification of the copyrighted work you claim is infringed.
2. Identification of the material on Localsville and where it appears (link, profile name and community, or screenshot).
3. Your name, mailing address, and email.
4. A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
5. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act for them.
6. Your physical or electronic signature.

We review complete notices, remove or disable material we determine to be infringing, and notify the user who posted it. Users who repeatedly infringe lose their accounts.

If your content was removed and you believe that was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to the same address including: (1) your physical or electronic signature; (2) identification of the removed material and where it appeared before removal; (3) a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification; and (4) your name, address and telephone number, a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your district (or, if outside the United States, any district where Localsville may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who filed the original notice. We forward counter-notices to the original complainant. If we receive a compliant counter-notice, we restore the removed material within the window the law sets — not less than 10 and not more than 14 business days after we receive the counter-notice — unless the original complainant first notifies us that they have filed a court action seeking to restrain the user from the allegedly infringing activity, in which case the material stays down pending that action.
