Request removal of an intimate image
If an intimate image of you — real or computer-generated — appears on Localsville without your consent, you can ask us to remove it. You do not need a Localsville account to make this request, and you may ask someone you trust (or a parent or guardian, if you are a minor) to make it for you.
Email safety@localsville.com with:
- Who you are — your name and a way to reach you (an email address is enough). If you are acting for the person depicted, say so.
- A good-faith statement that the image is an intimate visual depiction of the person on whose behalf you are writing and that it was published without that person's consent.
- Where the content is — enough for us to find it: a link to the profile, the profile name and community, or a screenshot. If you know of copies in more than one place on Localsville, list what you know.
- A signature — typing your full name at the end of the email is sufficient.
We will confirm receipt, review the request, and remove or disable qualifying content promptly — within 48 hours of a valid request — and we will also make reasonable efforts to find and remove identical copies of the image on Localsville. We treat these requests confidentially and do not notify the public or punish anyone for making a good-faith request.
This route is for non-consensual intimate imagery. For anything involving a child, use safety@localsville.com as well — those reports go first in the queue regardless of form. For copyright complaints, see the Copyright page.
