Offerings

The things and services a Person or Place can offer, and how each kind behaves.

How can I price an offering?

Four ways: a fixed price, a starting-at price, quote required, or conversation only. Only fixed and starting-at carry an amount.

Quote required means a neighbour asks and you reply with a price for their situation. Conversation only means there is no price on it at all — you would rather talk first.

While in-app payment is switched off, every offering behaves like a conversation: neighbours request, and you agree the details between you.

How do I change an offering?

Edit it from your profile — and only the words are reviewed. Changing the title or the description sends the offering back for review; the live version keeps showing until the change is approved.

Everything else applies immediately: the price type, the amount, the offering kind, the duration, and the pickup, delivery and quote settings.

Offerings can only be added or edited while your profile is a draft or live — not while it is in review, restricted, deactivated or removed.

Why was my offering rejected?

Because a reviewer thought something in it needed changing — and they now leave you a message saying what. You will find their reason with the offering.

The usual causes are wording that promises something Localsville cannot support, missing detail that makes the offering unclear, or a photo that is not really of the thing being offered.

Edit it and it goes back for review. Nothing else on your profile is affected.

Still stuck? Contact support — a person reads every message.
